Silver and Gold

25 Jul

When I was approached to do this job, I wasn’t given a lot of guidelines except for numbers and sizes of arrangements needed.  As the event neared, the client thought an “Olympic” theme “Go for the Gold” would be a fun theme, especially since the Olympics were right around the corner.   I suggested the idea of bringing in silver to highlight the gold.   The event was an open house for a real-estate development company selling multi-million dollar lots overlooking Newcastle Golf Course.  The view was incredible and since it was such a beautiful day you could see all the way to Seattle and beyond.

The large entrance piece sat upon a large round table and was the first thing visible when the guests arrived.  A large silver bowl was filled with “Helios” garden roses, hydrangeas, gold football mums, tulips, “Butterscotch” roses, cream colored roses,  Dusty Miller, magnolia leaves, eucalyptus and curly willow.
