Vintage Wedding

10 Aug

I am always honored to be asked to help out family members with their weddings.   Everyone has their own style and color preferences and it is my job to make sure it all comes together.  Risa has excellent taste and wanted to bring in the touch of vintage I really enjoy working with.  I loved her choice of colors and textures – touches of pink, peach, cream, sage green.  Textures included blackberries, scabosia pods, fern curl, and succulents.

Risa went to thrift shops and picked up vases then spray painted them with paint to look like milk glass, mercury glass, or green milk glass.  Clusters of the vases were placed on several of the dining tables.  Some of the tables had glass cloche domes with a small arrangement in the center and succulents surrounding the vase.  Hopefully the photographer was able to get photos of the centerpieces since I ran out of time and was unable to get any photos.

I can’t wait to get the remaining pictures from the professional photography, but until then – here is the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and alter pieces.

Bridal Bouquet

The bridal bouquet had succulents, blackberries, Dusty Miller, garden roses, calla lilies, anemone, wax flower, lisianthius, stock, fern curl, and much more was used to create this bouquet full of soft color and texture.  I wish you could see the other succulent used, it was a large frilly succulent that looked similar to a football mum.
