Autumn

26 Jan

Here we are in the middle of winter and already I am talking about fall!  I know, I should be thinking about spring, but I had to share these photos from a wedding I did in October at Red Barn Studios in Chehalis, Washington.    Red Barn Studios is a beautiful 1937 barn owned by a young family who purchased it in 1999 and set out to preserve the barn while converting it into a unique venue for weddings, retreats and social gatherings.

I met the bride last spring and she had a pretty clear vision of what she wanted – lots of fall flowers in a variety of shades and textures.   The bridal bouquet was a combination of vintage hydrangeas, peach roses, mango calla lilies, “Fiction” garden roses, bronze football mums, white roses, red hypericum berries, echinacea pods, burgundy dahlias, millet, agonis leaves, brevelia, and millet all surrounded by dark red leaves and tied with a burlap ribbon.

Bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets without the calla lilies and garden roses.

Groomsmen wore simple corsages of scabosia pods tied with twine.
