Mothers Day Wedding

5 Jul

The other day, I received these lovely images of Ed and Salomes wedding from Michelle at Letter M Photography and can’t wait to share them with you.  Ed and Salome were married on Mothers Day at the landmark Edgewater Hotel on the waterfront in Downtown Seattle.   The Edgewater hotel was built in 1962 for the Worlds Fair and has been host to famous guests such as the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Kiss and the Village People.  Some facts which I recently discovered that I thought were worthy of sharing!

Their soft color pallet of  mint, ivory, blush, touches of pink and small pops of raspberry was based around vintage navigation maps they had salvaged.

The brides bouquet consisted of peonies in shades of blush and white, pale pink garden roses, white tulips, scabosia pods, fern curl, dusty miller, succulents and  pops of beautiful locally grown raspberry colored ranunculus.

The groom wore a simple corsage of a mini succulent, blush peony buds, dusty miller and fern tips.

The vintage map theme was brought in by creating table names of local Seattle neighborhoods.  I found some rustic looking containers for the centerpieces which were created using succulents, hydrangeas, garden roses, dusty miller, scabosia pods, tulips and fern curl.

The all white dessert buffet was created by  dianne’s delights and was filled with pie pops, cake pops, raspberry tarts, vanilla bean macaroons and a small cake for the bride and groom.  It was a feast for the eyes (and the tastebuds).  Dianne does a lovely job and her desserts are out of this world.

Once again the wonderful ladies from Maris Events coordinated and brought it all together.  As always, it was a pleasure working with them and I look forward to working with them again soon.  Thank you also Michelle from Letter M Photography for all these wonderful images.
